Training

In order to provide the best carpet cleaning experiece, each and every Chem-Dry technician goes through extensive training to become true professional carpet cleaners. Not all carpets are the same, and they’re different again from rugs and upholstery, so they should be treated as such. Our technicians are trained on how each fibre should be cleaned in order to protect your investment, as well as specialty flood damage and smoke cleaning training. The training is based on both practical and theory-based learning. In order to become a Chem-Dry technician, each trainee must complete our in-house 5 Star Technician Programme. This program includes significant book learning, plus on-the-job mentorship. This process takes 3-4 months before technicians are able to operate independently. On top of the initial training, Chem-Dry technicians must upgrade their skills over time. Twice per year, each technician is required to attend a refresher training course. That way, they’re able to stay on top of the latest carpets, materials, cleaning systems and techniques.
